What flowers work best for pressing

Pressing flowers is a natural process, and therefore we do not have control of all flowers pressing perfectly. After working with pressed flowers for over 5 years, I have a good idea of what flowers work well, and which do not.

This is a general idea of what flowers will typically press best/worst, however this does not mean this is 100% accurate. For example, if pressing a bridal bouquet I will still attempt to press all types of flowers and include them all where possible to create a like for like of your design.

Flowers that press best

Hydrangeas, cosmos, wildflowers, roses, anemones, foliage, thistles, gypsophila

Flowers that can be temperamental

Lisianthus, dahlias, lilies, peony

Please keep this in mind when choosing to preserve your flowers, if you have any questions please get in touch and we can discuss further.
