Wedding bouquet preservation process

You’ve booked your wedding bouquet in for preservation, what happens next?

After your big day, it is important that we get the flowers as soon as possible. The better the condition the flowers are in, the better results we will get. Just drop me a message and we will arrange for collection or delivery to NE40. Some people may choose to give this job to a member of the family or to a member of the bridal party so you can enjoy the days after your wedding, if this is the case please just pass on our information to the individual.

Once we receive your flowers, we will deconstruct the bouquet and press all of your flowers. Some flowers may need to be deconstructed to ensure they dry. They will be placed into the traditional flower presses that have been hand crafted for the purpose of floral preservation. They will be kept in the press for around 4-5 months to ensure that the moisture is removed.

During the next few months we will check on your flowers, changing any paper that is required to ensure they preserve effectively. Once they are fully dried, they will be removed.

This is when we will reconstruct any flowers that had been deconstructed before pressing. This is most common with roses.

Once we have all your flowers ready, the fun part can commence! Designing your flowers, in the size and style of frame that you have chosen. We will send over an initial design, and then we can work together to make any changes until you are happy.

The process can take anywhere from 4-7 months depending on your flowers and the framing process. Once complete we can arrange for delivery or collection.

In order to keep your flowers lasting as long as possible, it is best to hang them out of direct sunlight and away from moisture.
